"Tres Hermanas" follows the compelling journey of three sisters as they explore the rich history of Afro-Caribbean culture through the lenses of music and education. The narrative addresses significant themes such as mental health, the contributions of Caribbean women activists, the bonds of sisterhood, community, and the process of healing.
The story kicks off with Sol, the youngest sister, who is brimming with ambition. After receiving letters from their estranged mother, Sol discloses to her fiercely protective and practical sisters, Euphemia and Ivelyz, that their mother will be returning. This revelation leads to an emotionally charged reunion with Hilda, their birth mother, setting the stage for a profound and transformative exploration of their shared history and identity.
